RYA Powerboat Level 2 Training Course in North Wales

This RYA Powerboat Level 2 course is great for beginners. You'll be instructed by our professional team in both practical, water based training as well as some classroom training where we'll cover areas such as mooring and basic navigation.

  • Various Man overboard recovery techniques

What is the cost?

The course runs over 2 days and will cost £265 per person.

Course Requirements & Outcomes

Assumed knowledge None, for beginners. May be preceded by Level 1 Start Powerboating.
Duration 2 days
Minimum age 12. Candidates under the age of 16 will be issued with an endorsed certificate.
Course content Launching and recovery, boat handling, securing to a buoy, anchoring, leaving and coming alongside, man overboard.
Ability after course Self-sufficient powerboater in the right conditions, aware of own limitations and those of craft.

What do I need to bring?

Warm clothing, waterproofs and suitable shoes to wear on the vessel and pontoons. Also bring a passport photo so we can attach this to your RYA Certificate of Competence.

Additional Information & Accommodation

There will be a maximum of 3 people per vessel on this course. This ensures that you get as much time as possible driving the boat and a personalised course experience. Should you require accommodation whilst taking the course we can recommend you a number of Airbnb properties as well as hotels.
